Low-Dose CT Lung Cancer Screening (LDCT)

The health of our colleagues is the foundation of NCKU’s steady progress. Fully funded by donations raised by the President, this project embodies the University’s spirit of solidarity with its faculty and staff. NCKU is committed to providing comprehensive health care, ensuring that every member of the community can work with peace of mind while maintaining optimal physical and mental well-being.

The program offers free LDCT screening for colleagues aged 50 and above, including full-time faculty, staff, contracted employees with over six years of service, and monthly-paid temporary staff with more than six years of service. The screening helps detect pulmonary nodules early and reduce lung cancer mortality. The procedure is fast, safe, and takes only 2–5 minutes without contrast injection. Reports are available within two weeks, and the Health Services Division will follow up on any abnormalities. Early detection of lung cancer can achieve a survival rate of up to 90%, safeguarding the health of our community.
